We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7:00–9:00pm, at St Mark's Church Hall, Coldyhill Lane, Scarborough YO12 6SD. Come a few minutes early for your first visit and we'll show you the ropes.

Do I need to audition to join?

Accepted Answer

No — never. Scarborough Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir. If you love to sing, there is a place for you with us, whatever your experience.

Do I need to read music?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. We learn most of our music by ear and from recordings, and there is always someone happy to help. Plenty of our singers have never read a note of music.

How much does it cost to come along?

Your first three rehearsals are completely free, so you can see whether we're a good fit before committing to anything.
